The
ancient drovers town of Tregaron is located at the base of the
Cambrian mountains in the county of Ceredigion. It still has
a weekly livestock market which has preserved the rural aspect
of the town. Agricultural practices have both preserved archaeolgical
sites and encouraged fauna and flora. There are six distinctive
wildlife habitats within the area which support a diverse range
of animal life including the Red Kite.The Teifi river winds
around Tregaron and can boast excellent fishing aswell as some
superb walking. Footpaths exist from low level to mountain tops.
The town has a busy social calendar including fairs, shows and
trotting races for horses, Tregaron is an excellent place to
stay and explore.
